This 2-day blended learning course combines online theory with practical, in-academy training. Your online learning provides the essential underpinning knowledge required for safe treatment, allowing your time in the academy to focus on practical application, treatment protocols, client assessment, and developing confidence with the equipment.

The course also includes Laser & Core of Knowledge, providing essential theoretical understanding of laser and light-based technologies. This covers key principles including how laser and IPL work, wavelengths, interaction with the skin and tissue, treatment safety, potential hazards, risk management, and the safe use of laser and IPL equipment within a professional treatment environment.

Throughout the course, you will train in four popular treatment areas:

IPL Hair Removal – Learn how Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) can be used to target pigment within the hair, helping to achieve long-term hair reduction. You’ll learn how to assess client suitability, understand hair growth cycles, select appropriate treatment settings, and safely treat different areas of the face and body.

Tattoo Removal – Understand how laser technology is used to target tattoo pigment, breaking it down into smaller particles that can gradually be processed by the body. You’ll learn about different tattoo types and colours, treatment expectations, client suitability, and the importance of safe and realistic treatment planning.

Skin Rejuvenation – Discover how IPL can be used to improve the overall appearance of the skin. Treatments can target concerns such as pigmentation, uneven skin tone, redness, and signs of ageing, helping clients achieve a clearer and more rejuvenated complexion.

Carbon Peel – Learn this popular laser facial treatment, which combines a specialist carbon solution with laser technology to deeply cleanse and exfoliate the skin. Carbon peels can help improve the appearance of enlarged pores, congestion, excess oil, and uneven skin texture, leaving the skin looking smoother and refreshed.

The course also covers health and safety, anatomy and physiology, insurance and licensing, professional consultation, contraindications, treatment protocols, client preparation, aftercare, equipment safety, and the importance of selecting appropriate treatment parameters.

Students receive access to the online theory learning following enrolment, allowing you to work through the underpinning knowledge and Core of Knowledge theory before attending your practical training. Your two days in the academy are then focused on developing the practical skills and confidence required to begin offering these advanced treatments professionally.

Upon successful completion of your training and required case studies, you’ll receive your CPD Accredited Certificate.
